Welcome to the kick-off of the new and improved Heisui Dojo website and on-line community. After a few years hiatus I am happy to return to public martial arts instruction in the Orono area starting with our inaugural Youth Martial Arts program beginning September 16.
Beginning on the sixteenth and continuing every Wednesday we will offer Youth Martial Arts for students in grades K-5 at the Keith Anderson Community House, 19 Bennoch Rd, Orono, ME. Children in grades K-2 will train from 3:30-4:15PM. Students in grades 3-5 will practice from 4:30-5:30PM. If there is interest we will begin offering classes for middle school, high school and adult students, too.
As always our classes are based in the traditional Shotokan karate-do methodology with age and skill appropriate drills and activities. We encourage all interested students to give our fun, high energy classes a try.
Registration for the Orono Youth Martial Arts classes is open now and can be accessed at the Orono Parks and Recreation site. If cost or scheduling is an issue, please contact me directly. No child will be excluded from training due to financial hardship.
I am excited to share the benefits of Shotokan karate with a new generation of students. Come check us out. Ossu!
